The Euro-Arab Council in Brussels condemns the executions of Ahwazi citizens and calls for an urgent international investigation

The Euro-Arab Council for Multiculturalism in Brussels, headed by Counselor Mohammed Al-Shammari, strongly condemned the heinous crime committed by the Iranian regime against six members of the Ahwazi Arab people, following the unjust execution sentences carried out against them. He described the incident as a blatant violation of all international laws, human rights conventions, and humanitarian principles that prohibit killing and persecution of defenseless peoples under occupation.

Counselor Al-Shammari affirmed that what happened reflects the true face of the dictatorial Iranian regime, which continues its brutal policies against the people of Al-Ahwaz in an attempt to erase their Arab identity and consolidate its occupation and tyranny. He emphasized that targeting the Ahwazi people in such a barbaric manner constitutes a crime against humanity and poses a grave threat to regional stability and international peace.

The Council President called on the international community, the United Nations, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to take a firm stance against these violations.

He urged the immediate launch of an independent international investigation into the crime and the prosecution of those responsible before international justice.

He also called for referring the case to international humanitarian law in accordance with the United Nations Declaration and holding the Iranian regime accountable for its repeated violations of human rights.

Al-Shammari stressed the need to stand by the aspirations of the Ahwazi people to obtain their legitimate rights under international protection and to ensure that such acts of killing and execution against defenseless civilians are not repeated.

He affirmed that the Euro-Arab Council will continue its efforts to defend human rights and the dignity of nations, urging the United Nations, the European Union, and relevant international organizations to take immediate action to protect the Ahwazi people from the oppression of the Iranian regime and to ensure its full compliance with international human rights conventions.

Al-Shammari concluded his statement by reaffirming the Euro-Arab Council’s commitment to the principles of the 1948 Paris Declaration, which calls for respect for human rights in disputed regions, noting that the silence of the international community only encourages the Iranian regime to continue its crimes against the Ahwazi people.
