London – Special

The results of a public opinion poll conducted by one of the polling centers in the United Kingdom showed that more than 57% of participants expressed support for the Ahwaz cause and the right of its people to self-determination, reflecting growing interest in the Ahwazi issue within British circles.

The poll was one of the significant outcomes of the conference organized by the Executive of the State of Ahwaz at the British Parliament at the end of last month, attended by four members of the House of Lords, two members of the British House of Commons, the Editor-in-Chief of the British newspaper The Independent, and a number of political and media figures.

It is noteworthy that the poll was not limited to Ahwaz alone, but also included a number of issues related to the right to self-determination, including Ahwaz, Ireland, Catalonia, and Somaliland. The voting results showed that the Ahwazi cause received support from more than 51% of participants.

During the conference, attention was focused on the political and humanitarian situation in Ahwaz, and ways to strengthen the presence of the issue within international political and media circles were discussed, in addition to emphasizing the importance of supporting the legitimate rights of the Ahwazi people in accordance with international laws and conventions.

In a related context, a British writer published an article discussing the conference held in the British Parliament, praising the importance of the event and its role in raising awareness among British public opinion about the Ahwaz issue and conveying the voice of the Ahwazi people to decision-making and media circles in the United Kingdom.

Observers believe that the poll results, together with the political and media presence witnessed at the conference, represent a positive step toward enhancing international awareness of the Ahwazi cause and expanding the circle of support and solidarity with it at the international level.
