
Canadian and Costa Rican Calls at the UN to End Discrimination Against Ahwazis
The Canadian representative at the United Nations called for an end to all discriminatory practices carried out by Iran against ethnic and religious minorities, including Ahwazi Arabs.
During a meeting of the UN Human Rights Council held on Friday, February 25, the Canadian representative emphasized the need to halt all forms of discrimination against minorities in Iran. He stated, “All discriminatory practices against ethnic and religious minorities, including Christians, Jews, Baha’is, Ahwazi Arabs, Baloch, and Kurds, must be abolished, and their cultural and religious rights and freedoms must be respected.”
Similarly, the Costa Rican representative at the meeting stressed the importance of ending discrimination against Ahwazi Arabs, calling for the safeguarding of their fundamental rights.
