Here is the text of Statement No. “434” issued on April 20, 2023
In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful
Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, and prayers and peace be upon the Prophet of Mercy, our Master Muhammad, and upon his family and all his companions.
The Arab people, along with the free people of the world, remember on the twentieth of April 2023 the ninety-eighth anniversary of the crime of occupying the Arab state of Al-Ahwaz, which was committed by Persian Iran and with the help of Britain on April 20, 1925 AD, the day Britain cut off an important historical land from the body of the Arab nation and handed it over to Iran and killed its Emir, Sheikh Khazal Al-Kaabi.
From that date until now, persistent Persian attempts are being made to erase the Arab character, so they deprived the Ahwazi Arab people of their most basic civil rights and political freedoms, as they changed the Arabic names of cities and sites and everything that indicates and refers to belonging to the Arab nation. The Arabs and the settlement of the Persians in their place, and they deprived the Arabs of owning agricultural lands, and the Persians controlled all areas of services and production, and the Shah of Iran used all practices of abuse, injustice, killing, and humiliation against them.
The current policy of the mullahs’ government in Iran, which takes Islam as a cover for its approach, behavior, and ambitions, is nothing but an extension of the same approach initiated by Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, and with the same fascist racist ideology based on oppression, deception, misinformation, lies, and forgery. The occupation of Al-Ahwaz by the Persians is nothing different from the occupation of Ahwaz. Palestine by the Zionists, and both of them are a settler occupation that includes land, people, history and civilization, and they converge in their goals and methods.
The Iranian-Persian hostility to the Arab nation is clear, open and historical, represented by their occupation of the state of Al-Ahwaz and the three Arab islands, their blatant interference in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Republic of Yemen and Lebanon, their active contribution to the occupation of Iraq, their continuous endeavor to sow sectarian strife in the Arab and Gulf countries in particular, and their spread of terrorist ideology. All this would not have happened without it. Arab silence and the weakness of the Arab political establishment.
Therefore, we in the Council of Arab Iraq Clans in southern Iraq, the leaders of the tribes and the heads of the clans, and with us the honorable sons of the nation and the free people of the world, today we remember the ninety-eighth anniversary of the brutal Persian occupation of the Arab state of Al-Ahwaz, and on this painful occasion we declare our full solidarity and our firm stand with the Al-Ahwazi people to decide their fate and restore all of their land usurped usurped country to establish its independent Arab state, and at the same time we strongly condemn and denounce all repressive practices, arrests, executions and genocide against our Ahwazi Arab people who reject the brutal Persian occupation and its serious violations of human rights.
We salute the Ahwazi Arab people for their steadfastness, sacrifices, great revolutionary struggle and valiant resistance for the sovereignty and independence of their free Arab state.
We call on the international community and human rights bodies to stand up to the current government of Iran and pressure it to stop the campaigns of arrests and executions and to release political detainees in Iranian prisons and detention centers.
We call on the leaders of the Arab countries to break the shameful silence and stand with the Ahwazi Arab people to end the Iranian-Persian occupation in order to determine their fate, obtain their sovereignty and restore their dignity.
