The execution of activist Hassan Obayat from Al-Hamidiyah City in occupied Arab Ahwaz
The execution has been revealed by the Ahwazi Human Rights Organization. Hassan Obayat (44 years old) from Al-Hamidiyah City was executed on Monday morning in Shiban Prison in the occupied Arab Ahwaz.
Hassan Obayat was arrested by the Persian occupation intelligence along with 5 other activists on charges of belonging to “opposition groups to the regime”.
It is worth mentioning that since the current Iranian president Ibrahim Raisi took office, the pace of executions has escalated, amid international concerns over systematic human rights violations by the regime of the Mullahs.
Many human rights organizations inside and outside Iran have called for referring Iranian violations to the United Nations Security Council and bringing the leaders of this regime to trial, especially Khamenei and Raisi.
Human rights organizations called on the Secretary-General of the United Nations and all relevant bodies of the United Nations, the European Union and its member states to take immediate action to save the lives of prisoners sentenced to death, especially political prisoners.
