Al-Kaabi Condemns Kharrazi’s Statements on Bahrain and UAE, Calls for Arab Unity to Counter Iran
Dr. Arif Al-Kaabi, Chairman of the Executive of the State of Ahwaz, strongly condemned the recent statements by Kamal Kharrazi, head of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations and former foreign minister, who cast doubt on the Arab identity of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the three Emirati islands occupied by Iran.
Al-Kaabi noted that Kharrazi’s statements reflect a historical mindset, adding that such rhetoric is not unfamiliar from Iranians, who occupied Ahwaz in 1925 and continue to delay recognizing the rights of the Ahvazi people by claiming Ahwaz as Iranian territory.
The Chairman of the Executive of the State of Ahwaz emphasized that Iran is actively working to destabilize the region and interfere in the internal affairs of Arab countries. He pointed to the occupation of Ahwaz and Iran’s questioning of the Arab identity of Gulf nations as clear examples of this aggressive policy.
Al-Kaabi stated that Kharrazi’s remarks pose a threat not only to Gulf security but also to the broader Arab national security. He argued that these comments expose Iran’s true intentions and its pursuit of an expansionist agenda aimed at establishing a new Persian empire at the expense of Arab states.
He urged Arab countries to unite in countering Iran’s expansionist ambitions, stressing that the recent statements from Iranian officials highlight the necessity of Arab cooperation to confront the threats facing the region.
The Chairman reiterated that Iran is targeting the unity of Arab lands and actively seeks to undermine stability across the region.
