Death of Sheikh Abdul Hamid Sheikh Jaber Sheikh Khazal in a tragic car accident

 

Sheikh Abdul Hamid Sheikh Jaber Sheikh Khazal, the grandson of the late Prince Sheikh Khazal Al-Kaabi, passed away in a tragic car accident an incident that sparked profound grief among the Ahwazi community due to the historical and national symbolism the deceased represented.

Sheikh Abdul Hamid was regarded as one of the most prominent descendants of the ruling family of Ahwaz prior to its invasion. His lineage carried a national legacy tied to resilience and the defense of the Arab Ahwazi identity.

He was named after his grandfather, the martyr Sheikh Abdul Hamid Sheikh Khazal the crown prince who was arrested along with his father after the invasion and subjected to torture until his death in Tehran.

Ahwazi activists view his passing as the loss of a figure belonging to a historic bloodline that formed an essential part of the national memory, known for its defiant stance against occupation authorities and the demographic changes imposed by Iranian authorities on Ahwaz and its people.
