The city of Tester in the occupied Arab state of Ahwaz is a city of ancient history and civilization, indicating the civilization of the Ahwazi Arab people, and their ability to build and architecture. And its cultural production throughout history.
The city of Tester alone has 13 World Heritage sites registered in the UNESCO list, located at the foot of the Zagros Mountains, and this city has long been called the “House of believers” and is known as the “capital of water structures in the world”.

The city of Tester is divided by different branches of the Karon River into three zones-the old poleitskaya structure, the new ones are located in the north-west of the city, and the new northwestern areas of the city are located.
There are the final slopes of the Zagros Mountains, the eastern border of this city and the dzhez riverform the western border of this city.

The city has ancient historical monuments dating back to the Elamite civilization and monuments from the Achaemenid era, as well as the city is honored by the Tomb of the prophet of God Daniel (peace be upon him) and has a world fame and is visited by tourists from everywhere.
Tester is famous for the historic Tester hydraulic system, an irrigation system built on the Karon River, which has been inscribed on the World Heritage list since 2009.
It looks more like a mythical scene or a fantasy painting, but it’s actually much stranger because what you’re seeing in these pictures is an irrigation system built by man more than 3,000 years ago!!
The irrigation system consists of dams, canals, tunnels and water wheels, and the construction of this system dates back to the Sassanid era, and some parts of the system are said to date back to the Achaemenid King Dara I.
The project includes two diversion channels that carry water from the Karon River and one of these channels is still used today to supply water to the city of Tester.
In addition to the alluvial soils of the very fertile Zagros Valley, in tester there are mines of gypsum, lime, building stone and sand . There are also large forests in the form of Groves between the various branches of the Karon River. According to the statistics of 2014, the area of forests and pastures of Tester amounted to 175 thousand hectares.
