
Al-Kaabi Praises Canada, Luxembourg, and Costa Rica for Supporting Ahwazi Rights at the United Nations
The Executive Committee of the State of Ahwaz has praised the representatives of Canada, Luxembourg, and Costa Rica for raising the issue of Ahwaz during the United Nations Human Rights Council meeting in Geneva while discussing the human rights situation in Iran.
Dr. Aref Al-Kaabi, President of the Executive Committee of the State of Ahwaz, stated that the intervention by the representatives of Canada and Costa Rica at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva regarding Iranian occupation violations against the Ahwazi Arab people represents significant support for Ahwazi rights and demands within the international institution. He emphasized that this move reaffirms the Executive Committee’s efforts to bring the voice of the Ahwazis to the global stage.
Al-Kaabi expressed his appreciation for Canada and Costa Rica’s efforts in defending the rights of the Ahwazi Arab people at the UN Human Rights Council. He said, *“We thank and appreciate the humanitarian stance taken by Costa Rica and Canada in support of the Ahwazi Arab people.”*
He also underscored his gratitude for all international positions taken by governments, peoples, and institutions that support the rights of the Ahwazi Arab people in confronting the Iranian occupation’s violations against the Ahwazis and their land.
The President of the Executive Committee of the State of Ahwaz expressed the aspirations of the Ahwazi Arab people for support from all governments and human rights organizations in confronting the violations committed against them by the Iranian occupation authorities.
Al-Kaabi stressed that the Executive Committee of the State of Ahwaz continuously works to amplify the voice of the Ahwazis in international forums to support their right to self-determination— a right enshrined in UN charters and international laws.
