Urgent Statement from the Executive of the Arab State of Ahwaz

The Executive of the Arab State of Ahwaz follows with deep concern the ongoing military developments in the region, which are witnessing an escalating conflict between the United States of America and Israel on one side, and the Islamic Republic of Iran on the other.

In this critical moment, we appeal to the international community and all free nations, and especially to the United States, to act urgently to protect our Ahwazi people and lands from any exploitation or direct threat. The Ahwazi people, who have long suffered marginalization and aggression, are now at risk of being used as fuel or human shields in a military confrontation that neither represents their will nor serves their just cause.

We affirm that Ahwazi lands are not a battlefield for the conflicts of others, and that any attempt to harm our people or turn them into instruments in unrelated conflicts is a crime against humanity.

We call on the international community to:
1. Take all urgent measures to prevent targeting Ahwazi cities and villages.
2. Protect civilians and ensure their safety in the face of any potential aggression.
3. Exert pressure on the Iranian authorities to halt any plan that may expose our people to killing, starvation, or being dragged into military conflicts.

The Ahwazi people refuse to be human shields or tools for settling international scores. We call upon the world to stand for humanity and justice, and to prevent a new tragedy on our fertile lands.
