European parliament hosts delegation from the Executive Committee of the arab state of Ahwaz to discuss Iran’s future

On Thursday, July 3, the European Parliament hosted an official delegation from the Executive Committee of the Arab State of Ahwaz, led by Dr. Aref Al-Kaabi, at its headquarters in Brussels.

The delegation was invited to deliver an important address regarding the future of Iran following the anticipated collapse of the current regime.

During the session, members of the European Parliament listened attentively to the perspective of the Ahwazi people, who are considered one of the most prominent groups struggling to bring down the Iranian regime.

In his speech, Dr. Aref Al-Kaabi emphasized that both the Ahwazi people and the Executive Committee of the Arab State of Ahwaz are committed to promoting peace and stability in the Middle East and firmly reject any attempts to spread chaos in the post-regime era in Tehran.

Dr. Al-Kaabi stressed that Iran’s future must be built upon justice and the rights of all peoples. He warned against repeating the mistakes of previous regimes from the Pahlavi monarchy to the Khomeini regime which systematically stripped the Ahwazi people of their national and historical rights.

He further called on the Persian opposition to take responsibility and adopt a realistic view of Iran’s future, rejecting any new authoritarian regime that would perpetuate oppression and tyranny. Al-Kaabi underscored that the next phase should be based on the recognition of the rights of non-Persian peoples and the guarantee of pluralism and freedom.

Members of the European Parliament expressed their appreciation for the balanced and responsible approach presented by the Executive Committee of the Arab State of Ahwaz and its leader.

They encouraged other political groups and national components from monarchists and MEK members to the Baloch, Kurds, and Azerbaijanisto follow the Ahwazi example and assume responsibility for the region’s future.

European lawmakers affirmed that the ultimate goal should be to secure the rights of all peoples in Iran and to safeguard the security and stability of the region in the post-regime period away from any chaotic or exclusionary agendas.
