The agricultural sector is one of the most important fortunes in Ahwaz, and the State of Ahwaz produces more than 3,200 tons of the finest honey in the Middle East, one of the most prominent agricultural products in occupied Ahwaz.
There are more than 43 thousand honey-producing farms in the Ahwaz country, producing more than 3 thousand 200 tons of honey.

Honey is harvested in Al-Ahwaz in 3 seasons: spring (harvesting eucalyptus honey), summer (harvesting eucalyptus honey) and autumn, and the largest amount of this product is harvested in summer.

Last year, more than 3,150 tons of honey were produced in the Arab country of Al-Ahwaz, which constitutes agricultural production of great importance to the Al-Ahwazi people.

One of the most famous types of honey in the state of Al-Ahwaz is wild honey, which beekeepers harvest after migrating to the Zagros Heights. They say that the harvest of this honey has ended, and it is much less than the expected quantity.

It is mostly produced in Al-Ahwaz, the capital, Ithij, and Salihiya. It is considered one of the best types of honey and has many medicinal properties.

There are many properties in organic wild honey that cannot be compared to other honey, and wild bees feed on different flowers and plants. These bees build a honey colony on their own and collect the best nectar from flowers and take it to the hives.
