Targeting of “Habibollahi” Camp Between Ahwaz and Mahshahr

Informed sources reported that the “Habibollahi” military camp, located between the cities of Ahwaz and Mahshahr, was heavily bombed in the early hours of Saturday. The strike is believed to be part of the ongoing Israeli air raids that have targeted several military and security sites inside Iran since early Friday.

The “Habibollahi” camp is considered one of the most significant bases of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the Ahwaz region. It hosts specialized military units focused on training and logistical support, as well as weapons and ammunition depots.

Reports indicate that the explosions shaking the area were caused by a direct hit on the camp’s weapons storage facilities, leading to fires and secondary blasts that were heard in nearby areas, particularly in the western outskirts of Ahwaz and the eastern parts of Mahshahr.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that the skies above the area saw intense drone activity shortly before the strike, suggesting that armed drones were used in the attack—similar to recent strikes on military facilities in Tehran, Kermanshah, and Isfahan within the last 24 hours.

This strike is part of a broader wave of Israeli air raids on Iranian territory amid a sudden military escalation that began at dawn on Friday, targeting missile bases, research centers, and IRGC command sites. The attacks coincided with mounting regional tensions, as Tehran warned of a “crushing response” to what it described as “Zionist aggression.”

Observers believe that targeting such a strategically important camp in the Ahwaz region marks a significant escalation in Israel’s operations, given the camp’s proximity to oil facilities and vital infrastructure.
