Workers at Satrap Industry Phase 14 in Asaluyeh, Abushahr in the occupied Arab Ahwaz region went on strike in protest of officials’ disregard for their union demands and the lack of a salary increase in the new year.
The workers of Satrap Industry demanded the concerned officials to increase the wages according to their proposed list based on an increase of 79%.
Project workers working in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries demanded a salary increase according to their proposed list based on a 79% increase.
The workers stressed the timely payment of their salaries without delay, the assurance of 20 days of work and 10 days of rest, the payment of insurance money, the improvement of mobility conditions, and health.
This round of labor strikes began on Friday and has expanded. Reports received indicate that the number of factories and companies whose workers have gone on strike since Friday has reached about 45 units.
