Official: 70% of the Gas for the Iranian Occupation State Comes from Abushahr in Ahwaz

 

The General Supervisor and Director of Coordination at the South Pars Gas Company in Abushahr stated that 70% of the gas for the Iranian occupation state is supplied from this gas field in Asaluyeh and Kangan. He emphasized the significant role this complex plays in providing gas across all of Iran.

Speaking at a gathering of journalists at the South Pars Complex, the official highlighted the vital and influential role of the complex in producing the gas that Iran relies on. He noted that 70% of the gas used in Iranian cities is produced at the South Pars Gas Complex refineries.

He added, “This quantity of gas is produced at sites 1 and 2 of South Pars in Asaluyeh and Kangan, equivalent to 3.5 million barrels of crude oil.”

The Coordination and Production Manager for the gas company in occupied Ahwaz explained that this amount of gas is generated through 13 refineries, divided into 22 phases of the South Pars field. He pointed out that, given sanctions and the current special circumstances, this process is a significant and complex operation.

Jolai, the Coordination and Production Manager for the South Pars Gas Company in occupied Ahwaz, also stated that in this shared field, Iran’s gas extraction surpasses that of Qatar.
