Mullahs’ Repression: Iran Executes Two Ahwazi Prisoners in Bushehr Prison

In continuation of the Iranian occupation authorities’ policy of executing members of the Ahwazi Arab people, the death sentences of Hussein Khalifa (29 years old) and Ali Morad Taheri (35 years old) were carried out on the morning of Thursday, February 20, 2025, in Bushehr Prison, located in southern occupied Ahwaz.

According to sources, Hussein Khalifa was arrested in Bushehr city three years ago, while Ali Morad Taheri, also from Bushehr, had been sentenced to death five years ago on charges of premeditated murder.

Local sources reported that the executions were conducted in secret, without notifying their families or allowing them to visit the prisoners before the sentences were carried out.

This action raises serious concerns about the rights of prisoners and their families to be informed prior to execution a violation of internationally recognized human rights standards.

As of the time of writing this report, no official Iranian media outlets, including those affiliated with the judiciary, have announced the execution of Hussein Khalifa and Ali Morad Taheri.

This media silence reflects the Iranian authorities’ policy of concealment in cases involving executions, raising concerns about transparency and accountability in such matters.

The Iranian occupation continues its repressive and criminal policies against the Ahwazi Arab people. The secret execution of Hussein Khalifa and Ali Morad Taheri, without granting them their basic rights, is another example of these oppressive measures.

Such repressive practices are part of a broader Iranian occupation strategy against the Ahwazi people, which calls for international condemnation and urgent action to oppose these human rights violations.
