Iranian occupation forces opened fire on Ahwazi activists during raids in the “Janina” area of Ahwaz city.

The raids injured several activists and were aimed at arresting civil society members in Ahwaz. These operations come as the centennial anniversary of the Iranian occupation of Ahwaz is marked.

Ahwazi sources have reported the continuation of a widespread wave of arrests targeting political activists and journalists in the region.
