Iranian Occupation Arrests Several Ahwazi Citizens for Documenting Israeli Strikes
Today, Saturday, Iranian occupation authorities arrested several Ahwazi citizens in various areas across northern and central Ahwaz. The arrests came after the individuals documented Israeli airstrikes that targeted military and security sites within Ahwazi territory.
According to sources, the detainees had used their mobile phones to film moments when Iranian Revolutionary Guard bases and air defense systems were struck. They also captured footage of rising smoke and explosions at several strategic sites belonging to the occupation forces in Ahwaz. These videos were later shared across social media platforms.
The sources added that operatives from the Iranian intelligence service conducted nighttime raids on the homes of several citizens, confiscating their phones and surveillance cameras before taking them to undisclosed locations. These actions have sparked widespread tension and anger among the local population.
Ahwazi activists stated that these arrests are part of Tehran’s ongoing policy of media blackout and systematic repression aimed at silencing the Ahwazi people. The goal, they said, is to prevent accurate information from reaching the outside world regarding the scale of Israeli strikes and the losses sustained by the Iranian regime.
It is worth noting that the Arab State of Ahwaz, under Iranian occupation since 1925, has witnessed heightened security and military tensions following the recent Israeli raids, which struck sensitive targets deep inside Iran, including some located in Ahwaz. These events have further exposed the fragility of the Iranian defense system.
