Higher than global averages… Dust ravages Ahwaz
The General Administration of Environmental Protection in Ahwaz explained that the amount of dust concentration in the air of Abadan and Khorramshahr at 9 am today reached more than 46 and 45 times the permissible limit, respectively.
Regarding the amount of pollutants in the current dust phenomenon in Ahwaz, following the occurrence of dust in Ahwaz, according to the latest measurements until 9 am today (4 March), the amount and the proportion of dust particles in the air of Abadan is 6975 and Khorramshahr is 6803 micrograms per cubic meter.
The General Administration of Environmental Protection added: the concentration of dust particles in Al-Falahiya 5402, Susangard 4442, Al-Ahwaz Capital 2212, Al-Sus 130, Al-Salihiya 114, Behbehan 76, Bandar Imam (RA) 68, Tester 78, Muhammara 6803 and Azza 51 micrograms per cubic meter.
Given that the permissible amount of pollutants in the air is 150 micrograms per cubic meter, the amount of dust concentration in the air of Abadan and Khorramshahr at 9 am today has reached more than 46 and 45 times the permissible limit, respectively.
The dust concentration in Al-Falahiya reached more than 35 times the permissible limit, and Ahwaz more than 14 times the permissible limit.
It caused an increase in dust and pollution rates in the region, which led to a high rate of chest diseases among the population, and the occupation authorities intentionally ignored the development of these medical centers within the framework of its plan to displace the population, which led to an increase in the migration of rural residents from the region to other regions.
