Al-khafajiyah is one of the cities of the occupied Arab state of Ahwaz, which is one of the border cities, and it is 37 km from the border with Iraq, with a population of 120,000 people, and Al-khafajiyah was named after the Sons of the famous tribe “Khafajah”, similar to Bani Aqil al-Kaabi،

The city of khafajiyah is bordered to the East by the cities of sous and Ahwaz, the capital, and to the West by the Iraqi border.

History
The khafajiyah or the area of the” Maysan plain ” is a small part of the state of Ahwaz at the mouth of the Tigris, which at that time did not merge with the Euphrates and flowed directly into the Persian Gulf, apparently starting from the place where the Karon river flows into the Tigris

In the Islamic era, Maysan was considered to include the Wasit and Basra regions, and its city was also called Maysan, and because the Persians called this area Dasht-Mishan, it is clear that it was a flat area on both sides of the Tigris and Karon .
The ruler of this place was also nicknamed “Maysan Shah” and Maysan first appeared in the second century AD, it is written as “Mesene” in Greek script.

Khafajiya clans
Among the Arab clans living in the city are the great Rabia tribe (al-Amara (Amir), Ahl al-Kut), Sawari (a large clan that includes the House of Awaja and the House of Nasr), Bani TUF ( a large and comprehensive clan), al-Haider, al-Sawari, Sadat, zubaydat, Abu Kalda, sa’id, bayya, Beit Hardan, Beit Mahawi, mention can be made of his honor, najrawi (Shabibi), abayyat, buhars, the big farm and the tribe of Bani Asad (Asadi, sidavi and Beit Goyder).

Landmarks of Al-haffajiya

There are a number of entertainment centers in khafajiya, the Central Park of the city, which is considered one of the historical and entertainment places in this city, and the coast of the karkhi River is one of the most important entertainment and entertainment centers, and the khazaleh park, known as shat Al-bualsh.
