
Al-Kaabi discusses support for the crucial causes of Ahwaz and Iraq with the president of the European Council
Dr. Aref Al-Kaabi, President of the Executive Committee of the State of Ahwaz, received Counselor Mohammed Al-Shammari, President of the European Council, at the headquarters of the Ahwaz Executive Committee.
The meeting focused on exploring prospects for joint cooperation between the two sides in highlighting the vital causes of the Ahwazi and Iraqi peoples on both the European and international stages.
The discussions delved deeply into ways to strengthen this cooperation amid escalating regional challenges and foreign interventions that threaten the stability and identity of the region’s peoples.
Both sides stressed the importance of joint efforts to convey the voices of oppressed nations to the international community, within the framework of human rights and international justice.
Counselor Mohammed Al-Shammari affirmed the European Council’s full support for the Ahwazi people’s cause and their legitimate right to liberation and independence from Persian occupation.
He emphasized the importance of advancing the Ahwazi issue in European and international forums to enhance its visibility and secure the just rights of the Ahwazi people.
For his part, Dr. Aref Al-Kaabi expressed his appreciation for the European Council’s positions, praising its balanced and intellectually enlightening approach, which serves as a key pillar in countering extremism and ideological deviations carried out in the name of religion or sect.
He also underscored the need to reinforce the values of dialogue, justice, and peaceful coexistence as essential foundations for achieving societal stability.
The meeting concluded with both parties reaffirming their commitment to maintaining continuous communication and coordination between the Ahwaz Executive Committee and the European Council, and to working jointly in support of the aspirations of peoples seeking freedom and independence through international legal and diplomatic channels.
