A Delegation from the Executive Council of the State of Al-Ahwaz, Led by Al-Kaabi, Visits Washington to Discuss the Suffering of the Ahwazi People
A delegation from the Executive Council of the State of Al-Ahwaz, led by Dr. Arif Al-Kaabi, has arrived in Washington on an official visit aimed at highlighting the suffering of the Ahwazi people under Iranian occupation, marked by oppressive and authoritarian policies against Ahwazi rights.
During the visit, the delegation seeks to brief the U.S. administration on the current situation in Al-Ahwaz, particularly the ongoing human rights violations faced by the Ahwazi people due to Iran’s policies of repression and marginalization.
The Ahwazi delegation received an official welcome from Mr. Alberto Fernandez, Director of the Executive Board for the Center for Cyber and Homeland Security and Coordinator of the Center for Strategic Communications (CSCC) at the U.S. Department of State.
In the meeting, Dr. Al-Kaabi and his accompanying delegation detailed the deteriorating humanitarian and economic conditions in Al-Ahwaz, highlighting the ethnic discrimination and political oppression endured by the Ahwazi population.
Dr. Al-Kaabi emphasized the importance of international support, particularly from the United States, for the Ahwazi cause to ensure their legitimate rights to live in freedom and dignity.
This visit is part of ongoing efforts by the Executive Council of the State of Al-Ahwaz to garner international and regional support for their cause and to shed light on the daily suffering of the Ahwazi people due to the Iranian occupation’s systematic policies aimed at erasing Ahwazi identity and marginalizing its inhabitants.
