Al-Kaabi Participates in a Seminar at the Ukrainian Parliament and Calls for Recognition of the State of Ahwaz

Dr. Arif Al-Kaabi, the President of the Executive Committee of the Arab State of Ahwaz, participated in an important seminar held at the Ukrainian Parliament, attended by 13 Ukrainian MPs, as well as various political, military, and civilian figures, journalists, and the Chief of Staff of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

During the seminar, Dr. Al-Kaabi delivered a speech in which he called on Ukraine to officially recognize the State of Ahwaz, drawing parallels to the Ukrainian Parliament’s previous recognition of the Republic of Dagestan.

Al-Kaabi’s call emphasizes the shared struggles of the Ahwazi and Ukrainian peoples. While the Ahwazi people have been suffering under Iranian occupation for nearly a century, the Ukrainian people continue to face threats to their sovereignty from Russian occupation.

In his speech, Al-Kaabi highlighted the connection between the Ahwazi and Ukrainian resistance movements, stressing that recognizing the State of Ahwaz would be a significant step in supporting the Ahwazi people’s struggle against the repressive Iranian regime, which seeks to expand its influence at the expense of oppressed peoples in the region.

He further noted that Iran continues to assert its control over Ahwaz, a region rich in resources, while its people endure marginalization, poverty, and oppression.

The idea of recognizing the State of Ahwaz was raised during the seminar, which was attended by senior politicians, military officials, and civilians. This indicates growing interest among Ukrainian political circles in the Ahwazi cause.

High-level officials, including the Chief of Staff of President Zelensky, were present at the seminar, demonstrating the Ukrainian leadership’s keen interest in discussing this sensitive issue at the highest levels.

The Executive Committee of the State of Ahwaz hopes that the proposal for recognition will be presented in upcoming Ukrainian parliamentary sessions, following necessary consultations in the coming weeks.

Al-Kaabi pointed out that these consultations could lead to positive steps toward the official recognition of Ahwaz, which would significantly boost the Ahwazi cause on the international stage.

Al-Kaabi’s call for recognition in Ukraine is considered a strategic move, as Ukraine is at the forefront of confronting the Russian alliance, which is working alongside Iran to spread instability in the region.

He further noted that such recognition would provide critical moral and political support for the Ahwazi people, who have long sought to reclaim their sovereignty and independence from Iranian occupation.

In conclusion, Al-Kaabi expressed his appreciation for Ukraine’s efforts in supporting the rights of oppressed peoples and emphasized the importance of solidarity between the Ahwazi and Ukrainian peoples in confronting the occupations that threaten the security and stability of the region.
