Ahwazi demonstration in front of the german parliament demands release of Ahwazi prisoners

On Saturday, the German capital, Berlin, witnessed a massive demonstration organized by the Ahwazi people in front of the German Parliament.

The participants held up pictures of Ahwazi prisoners detained in Iranian prisons, calling on the German Parliament, the European Union, and the international community to take serious action and pressure Tehran to release them unconditionally.

The demonstrators stressed that the issue of Ahwazi prisoners is not an internal Iranian matter but rather a just humanitarian cause that requires a decisive international stance against what they described as systematic violations faced by the Ahwazi Arab people arbitrary arrests, unfair sentences, and organized torture all amid alarming international silence.

This step comes as part of a series of events and movements organized by Ahwazis in exile, aiming to deliver the voice of the oppressed to international decision-making centers and emphasize that the suffering of the prisoners is an inseparable part of the Ahwazi cause, which will not fade with time.

The participants also renewed their salute to the resilience of Ahwazi prisoners behind bars, stressing that their freedom is a moral and humanitarian duty on the shoulders of the international community, and that ignoring their plight amounts to implicit complicity in the continuation of repressive policies against them.

The protesters urged the German Parliament and the European Union to take concrete steps to condemn the violations and to pressure the Iranian authorities to release all Ahwazi prisoners and guarantee their legitimate rights in accordance with international conventions.
