Meeting of Ahwazi, Balochi, and Azerbaijani Leaders: Uniting Efforts in Brussels
Last Thursday, the Executive Committee of the Arab State of Ahwaz in Brussels, Belgium, hosted a significant meeting that brought together leaders from the Ahwazi, Balochi, and Azerbaijani peoples. The aim was to discuss shared challenges and explore mechanisms for future cooperation.
This meeting took place amidst the current regional circumstances, marked by rapidly evolving political and social dynamics impacting these peoples within the geography known as Iran.
Prominent representatives of political movements from these communities participated in the meeting. Attendees included Mohaim Sarkhosh and Habibullah Baluch from the “Balochistan Raji Tabaki” Party, Saleh Kamrani from the “Azerbaijan Center” Party, and Aref Al-Kaabi, President of the Executive Committee of the Arab State of Ahwaz, who played a key role in organizing this meeting and striving to unify efforts.
The meeting addressed key issues such as the rights of non-Persian peoples, ongoing violations against them, and ways to strengthen coordination among the different parties to confront shared challenges.
Discussions also reviewed field conditions and political developments directly impacting their communities, emphasizing the importance of developing practical and sustainable cooperation mechanisms to support the struggle of these peoples for their national and political rights.
The role of the Executive Committee of the Arab State of Ahwaz stood out as an entity actively working to build bridges between the non-Persian nationalist movements.
Aref Al-Kaabi stressed the importance of unifying ranks and working in a spirit of partnership to counter Iranian policies aimed at erasing the national identities of these peoples. He also emphasized the need to leverage international opportunities to highlight their just causes and achieve their aspirations for freedom and independence.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the participating leaders reached several understandings, including strengthening joint cooperation and coordinating efforts on international platforms.
Additionally, several cooperation agreements were signed, aimed at unifying the efforts of these political movements and supporting their collective struggle.
