The Executive Council of the State of Al-Ahwaz Welcomes EU Sanctions on Iranian Entities and Figures
The Executive Council of the State of Al-Ahwaz has welcomed the European Union’s decision to impose sanctions on nine Iranian entities and individuals, including Iranian Defense Minister Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, due to the supply of drones to Russia, which are being used in its war against Ukraine. The Council emphasized that this decision reflects a firm response to counter terrorism and threats to regional and international peace and security.
In an official statement, the Executive Council of the State of Al-Ahwaz strongly condemned the transfer of weapons or military technology aimed at destabilizing the region and undermining regional security. It affirmed that supporting international efforts to impose sanctions on those responsible for such actions underscores Al-Ahwaz’s commitment to maintaining peace and security.
The State of Al-Ahwaz considers Tehran a state sponsor of terrorism and a threat to the interests of nations. It vehemently opposes any supply of weapons or military technology that supports military operations by other nations, endangering regional and international peace and security.
The Council also stated that these sanctions represent a crucial step in confronting Iranian terrorism, achieving justice, and encouraging the international community to take decisive action against those who support and finance terrorist activities.
It added, “We encourage further international efforts to combat terrorism and enforce justice, and we hope these sanctions serve as a strong deterrent to Tehran’s expansionist ambitions in the region.”
